you got a good result here, yet that rule lacks flexibility, and adherence can compromise a photo's integrity...the world simply doesn't fit neatly on a grid...perhaps best to consider it as a guideline in certain situations, but hardly binding for all images..

What a great way to spend time. Looks like positioned the boater in exactly the intersection of the thirds for a textbook perfect comp. But I agree- this is one rule that is fun to break for dramatic effects.
