The Sibley House

This is the original home of the first governor of Minnesota, Henry Hastings Sibley.
Built in 1835, when he was a representative of the American Fur Company, it is the
oldest private residence in the state.

the pale stone helps to lighten the blockish shape, and allows the place to stand out in those surrounds...you caught this one in appropriately sober light too..
