Poem, "Walking in a Japanese Garden"

Be silent my dear, and enjoy the scene
as we walk in this Japanese Garden serene.
The sun is shining in the afternoon sky
and treelike bamboo catches the eye.
Buddahs of bronze stand on gravel and stone.
We must step with care in the bonsai zone.
Oh I see little raindrops fall on the flowers
but the air is refreshed, no soil on the bowers.
My head bends to say a fervent prayer
whilst wandering through God's garden fair.
We are riding high on the wings of love
It's a wonderful September birthday.

No breeze this evening, quiet as can be.
Peace reigns over this ornamental scene.
Clouds glow pink in the early evening sky
'though I think rain may fall again by and by.
Just ignore the dust from the gravel stone
and still step with care in the bonsai zone.
As amber skies frame the leaves that shine
I see far beyond the human mind...
This is bountiful glory, glory untold;
original art form of oriental gold.
We are riding high on the waves of love
It's a wonderful September birthday.

I find Japanese gardens to be especially appealing. Your shot is a gem and it pairs well with this lovely poem. V

admirable landscaping...Japanese gardens are so well laid out and planted compared to staid formal gardens..
