This Gallery is just to "show off" a custom built "mini tripod" that I've been using for the past few months. It is very well made and lends itself for easily usage and portability. As I do a lot of HDR work, the mini tripod lets me take some very low angled shots. It is made by a local fabrication shop here in Tucson- AZBillet, their website is: http://azbillet.com/products.htm
although it does not show the tripod yet. I gave them the quickmount plate that I use with my Rocketfish Tripod, and they made a "receptacle" that mounts to the mini tripod, so I can quickly remove the camera from my large tripod and put the camera on the mini tripod and visa versa. I can just keep the mini tripod in my pocket if I want, or can easily fit in my photographer's backpack. This "action" photo was taken at Carshow and shows me, remote in hand and backpack and larger tripod in the foreground, me using the minitripod. If it's warmer out so that the pavement is hot, I take a yoga mat with me and lie on it to compose the shot. The image that I took can be seen at: https://pbase.com/image/147403291
