Yamaha CR-1020

Tucson, AZ

This 70w/channel AM/FM receiver was given to me by a friend who purchased it new back in 1977 or so- It was not working correctly so I fixed it, cleaned it up and decided to sell it on Craigslist, though I do have some regrets as it is a very nice looking and sounding piece of audio gear. The person who purchased it drove 120miles from Phx, where he stays for the winter to avoid the cold of British Columbia.

Well done on fixing this beautiful Yamaha receiver, Scott. I regret selling a few things from when I was younger.V

I'm not surprised they were willing to drive that far. My photography magazine went out of business, so they are sending me a stereophile magazine as a substitute. The prices of new equipment are through the roof (pairs of speakers for up to $62K and turntables for multiple $K). The market is insane. These old units work great and have far greater range than my ears do. Well done! V

I am impressed with your repair skills. He drove all the way to Tucson so he must value his purchase.
