Stefan,
Have you noticed that weird "trifid"-crater at the north-eastern part of Fracastorius's rim? It's as if three individual craters became part of "one-and-the-same-system". I wonder if there are much more examples of such "trifid"- or quadruplet-like crater-systems (three, four, five, or more craters shaped into one system).
By the way;
Wasn't it here, on Fracastorius's floor, that Patrick Moore observed some kind of reddish coloration? (via his Moonblink-apparatus).
P.S.:
Wonderful photograph Stefan!
