Tap Mun

This small island, also called Grass Island (塔門), is located at the eastern side of Hong Kong. Not only grass, you can also find a large number of cattle grazing in grassland everywhere.
Tap Mun is roughly divided into east and west side. Most of the population are inhabited in a village, New Fisherman's Village, near the pier on the west. Apart from the village, it is totally natural area. Under the effect of wave action of Pacific Ocean, the eastern shore is eroded by weathering and rough rocky shoreline is formed. The famous rock in Tap Mun is called 'Balance Rock' that means one rock is standing on another rock.
The weather was marvelous during the trip. In fact, it is the best time to travel countryside in Novemeber. Don't miss the chance to breathe fresh air of Hong Kong nature.
