Pamukale

The major attraction of Pamukale is the white calcareous cascades and pools (so-called cotton castle). However, I was disappointed when I reached there. The pools are almost dried up due to the over-expenditure of water by hotels surrounding Pamukale. Hope this situation will be changed in the future.

Hi, I agree with you. On photo's its looks more than it is. I went there in december 2002. The great hotel at the top of the mountain was pulled down. They say it was to dangerous because of too much visitors in the bassins. I saw a lot of police wathen the tourists. We were only allowed to go with our feet in one of the three bassins that were open for public. So I agree that Pamukale lost a lot of its attraction. But I still think it was a wonderfull experience and I brought a little bottle of Pamukale water home. Very special to have been there.
