Athough I had a billion things to do before my business trip the next day, Bill convinced me to take a break to go cross-country skiing behind Paradise at Mount Rainier. (The fact that he wanted to break in his new skis had something to do with it also...) It was a beautiful morning, and although I hadn't been on skis for over 5 years, it didn't take too long to get back into the soothing groove of stepping and gliding. We also visited the cool new visitor center, but was bummed to see that the old Henry Jackson Visitor Center was gone. By time we left at 2pm, the dark clouds had rolled in, creating a moody view of the Tatoosh range.
