What do subzero temperatures, happy dogs, beautiful scenery and French-chef cooking have in common? It's a Wintergreen dogsled adventure, of course! Bill & I had a most-excellent time braving the elements and making new friends (both two- & four-legged) in our lodge-to-lodge vacation in Northern Minnesota. Special thanks to our trail guides (Jason, Amy & Chris), our beautiful sled dogs (Jens, Martha, Moon, Baloo, Larry, Poncho, Sweet Pea, Dakota, Lightning, Lucky, Gracy, Lewis, Clark, Covy, Panda, Matilda, Shelby, & Spaz) and fellow mushers (Edith, Tom, Aidine, Erin, Kaelin & David) for making the trip memorable & fun. (P.S. Bernard's chocolate mousse will also be pretty hard to beat, and made for yummy improvised mochas the next morning....) Additional highlights included visits to the International Wolf Center and Ely Winter Festival ice carvings... If you love dogs as much as I do, this is the vacation for you!
