Bill & I were pleasantly surprised with beautiful weather on our recent visit to Port Townsend. We took advantage of our good fortune to make a bee-line to go snowshoeing at Hurricane Hill in the Olympic National Park. True to it's name, the top of the Hurricane Hill was blowing snow so hard it was hard stand up! On the hike back we saw cougar tracks (good sized prints the size of a fist), but no first-hand cat sightings...which is a good thing. We also took pictures of Pt Wilson Lighthouse, Fort Worden, downtown Port Townsend and the Ann Starett Mansion, where we stayed. If you ever stay in the mansion, be sure to check out the mural of the mermaid in the bathroom as she overlooks a fire-engine red clawed bathtub!
