If you want to get away from the gloomy rain & the crazy Seattle crowds, high-tail it to Mountain Home Lodge in Leavenworth, WA. This little piece of heaven has it all... The town of Leavenworth is only minutes away--with its fun microbrewery (check out Icicle Ridge Brewery and the entrance to town), great brats (MunchenHaus) and numerous wine-tasting rooms. For peace & quiet, can explore the many trails above the lodge, then come back to lounge by the pool or hot tub--complete with a beautiful snow capped hills surrounding the town. Add a 5-star dinner and you have the complete package! I'd like to return in the winter, when they snow-CAT guests into the lodge. Thanks again to Kathy & Brad for being the perfect hosts!
