What a difference a lens makes! I've been visiting Connell's Dahlias open house for many years now, but I've never shot pictures using my 100mm f2.8 macro. I had some vague idea about starting out shooting the macro then switching the a lensbaby somewhere in between... I was having so much fun with the macro, 200 pictures later I didn't even bother with the lensbaby. Conditions were ideal--it had just rained, so the flowers were "dewy", and the cloudy day made for soft filtered light. I rewarded myself with an order of dahlias for next year as well as a bouquet of cut flowers. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them!
