Bill & I took a couple of days off from celebrating my mom's birthday in Las Vegas to explore Death Valley National Park. This time, we hiked Golden Valley all the way to the back end of Zabriskie Point. Who knew they connected? We stopped by the fancy lodging (Inn at Furnace Creek) and after talking to the helpful staff, found a neat little hike on the hills overlooking the Inn. It was a bit primitive, but not to bad if you look where you're stepping. The dunes are always a fun photo opportunity, especially in the morning light. Our trip ended with a visit to Scotty's Castle, and we were treated to a spectacular sunset on the drive out.
