From nesting on rooftops to joining other terns on Mid Pinellas County´s beaches, this year´s batch of fledglings includes some who have been rescued and banded. A group of Audubon Society volunteers, sometimes known as ¨Chick-a-Boomers," continue to monitor them every day. Now that the fledglings can follow adults to feed and rest on our beaches each day, the banded ones can sometimes be seen. The photos below show two types of bands: yellow over orange and yellow over green.
