Central Park Gallery

Central Park was a haven for nature in the midst of a concrete city. It provided a lot of photo opportunites, this gallery contains some of my work in black and white film. The Museum of Natural History is in the Park and there are some interesting pictures included here.

I REMEMBER THE OLD ZOO. AFTER MASS ON SUNDAYS,SOMETIMES MY FATHER WOULD TAKE MY BROTHERS AND ME TO THE ZOO. THERE WERE MANY CAGED ANIMALS. THE MONKEY HOUSE SMELLED SO BAD, THAT YOU HAD TO WALK FAST THROUGH IT. ONE SUNDAY THE BIG BUFFALO WENT A LITTLE CRAZY. HE KEPT HITTING HIS HEAD AGAINST THE IRON BARS UNTIL HE HAD TWISTED HIS RIGHT HORN AND IT WAS BLEEEDING. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS PUT TO SLEEP. I GUESS HE WAS TIRED OF THE SMALL IRON CAGE AND WANTED OUT.

What an excellent gallery. So many interesting retro things. You've really brought out the beauty of the park's history here. Bravo. I'm votin'!
