What a nice article are you retired already? There was no date so I wasn't quite sure what stage you are in with your project. I look forward to seeing your documentary.
I too went back to school at 35, I went to NYU and got my BFA degree in theater.

I just heard about this website today. My maiden name was Margaret Borges. I am pictured in some of the photos on Mickey's page. My mom and Mickey mom's were the best of friends. Mickey, Margie Holly and I were the three "M's". Would love to hear from others from the projects. Will be emailing Mickey right now. The projects and old friends from New York make up some of my fondest memories ever. Margaret Borges (Ammons)

Does anyone know where MaryEllen Monaghan is. She did not live in the projects but lived about two blocks away. We both went to the St. Joseph branch of Cathedral H.S. and graduated in 1962. I remember Eddie Ballard and lots of the other "kids' on Mickey's page. What fun. Hope to hear back from some other Amsterdam project people. My family and I lived there for about nine years.
