 This picture was taken circa June 1964 in front of 80 Amsterdam Avenue. The ocassion was the graduation of my brother Vairon and Stevie Woodcock (standing in the middle) from Junior High School 17.

just wanted to say that i love your gallery it brought back a lot of memories when i used to be at 80 amsterdam in the 60's and 70's with my brother eugene..i remember the old gang the amsterdam projects...those where the good old days...i would like to see the old gang again..i wish everyone a lot of good times and bless times...may you continue with this nice gallery and good luck in the future...

Grace and Peace Ivan, It's Pam Washington, 80 #12-C. Surely you must remember me and my brother Glenn (Butch). I went to school with Vairon. I enjoyed your pictures immensely. Spoke to Carol (Woodcock) not long ago. She's doing good. It has been a treat for me to look at your pictures. I have to say I really enjoyed my childhood despite everything. We had a togetherness that will never be forgotten. I admired your mom (Ms. Billie) so much. She was a classy lady. My love to all and may you be richly blessed. Love Pam!

These pictures are amazing! So many great memories. I am Charlie Johnson's younger brother, Ronald. Charlie's spirit is out there, but he is no longer physically with us, he passed in 1992 and my younger brother Fred passed on New Year's Day 2000. My brother, Alton, and I are still here, as are my parents who are in their 80s and still very much together. this is a wonderful website, and God Bless!

Joe, yes he does and I may have some pics with Reuben in it. If not, you know Mr. Archive has them. 260? My scanner will go through melt-down! But Goldmine is right, what a great set of pictures. Great job Ivan.

Wow! Another goldmine, Julio! Ivan has kept a wonderful record. I look forward to the additional 260 images. Does Ivan remember Reuben France who also attended Shaw? As I recall, so did Fermin.
