I remember Mike, The ice Cream man. He use to sell candy too on the dead end street of the projects. Years ago he told me how he broke every one of his toes in one of those motorless airplanes when it crash landed on D day. Back in the late early 70's I saw him selling pretzels on a street in Long Island. My understanding was that Mike was serverly beating in a mugging and that he never fully recovered from that. Believe it or not, I still think about him from time to time and hope that he's in heaven where all the good "ice cream men" are.

Larry use to chase us at Lincoln Center (we were harassing patrons and stealing tops for skelly). I remember him buying us food at The restaurant, "Footlights?" under the subway entrance at what use to be 64th street, projectas side. Great man.
