Hi guys! I'm Carmen LLamas, that's right... the news of Julio's Website finally reached the LLamas Family in San Juan, Puerto Rico. What a wonderful idea, you have all done a great job. It has brought back great memories. Those were really the good old days. I was delighted to see your sister and Mom, and all of the gang from Amsterdam. We'll be sending pictures soon.

Iraida Quintana and I were fast friends though P.S. 94 and La Salle JHS until my family whisked me away to the Bronx. I would be thrilled to make contact again and grateful to anyone who could make this happen.

Thank you so much for the picture of Pat Mann and Little Louie. I didn't expect to see a picture of my brother while I was surfing through this wonderful website. Little Louie or Junior as the family called him passed away several years ago. I will search through my old picture and see what fond memories I'll find and share with the rest of the project alumni. The ????? girls in the baseball picture are Carmen and her sister.
Carmen was fair and her sister was a brunette. They lived in
90 Amsterdam. I cannot recall their last name.

Frankie Acosta lives in New Jersey, but I do not believe it is
Princeton. Alba is going to try to get word to him. Alba is Anibal
Flores' sister. Does anyone remember the Flores family in 40 Amsterdam?
They now live in New Jersey, near Lorie.

You can't play "Fast-pitch" anymore- no walls to use as a backstop/plate. I believe the playground is named after "Naughty's" father who was known as "The Baron."

Several years ago there was a brief account of a softball game at PS 191 in "The New Yorker". The game was to honor Mr. Acosta who had died the previous year. Last I heard, Frankie was a bus driver in the city.

I believe that the ???? in the softball group may have been a daughter of one of the coaches. She looks familiar.
