1st September 2006

I went to the doctor's and she told me I had a severe case of Old Camera Syndrome...

This is my mother's first (box) camera, a Kodak Brownie. She tells me she won a
competition with it, a shot of Windsor Castle, and that "it has a great lens"... This, of course, is like showing a red rag to a bull...

So I have spent a day trying to track down some 620 film; and after being laughed at by
various local establishments, I finally found a UK website for vintage cameras & film.

:))

Then I had a great hunt through eBay and picked up a Holga 120N,
a Holga micro (110 film), a Diana camera, a Cosmic 35, an Isola 1 and a Lomo fisheye.

Just waiting for these new additions to arrive... :))

My doctor has recommended therapy. Urgently.

Ooooo I'm so envious. You've got a Holga,a Holga micro (I didn't even know they have this),a Diana, and I've got to go look up those other 3.

So is your Mom going to give this Kodak Brownie to add to this great collection?

he he - good one....you'll be ranting on about the evils of compact flash and buying up darkroom equipment in no time....well, you will if you're anything like my other half who seems to be going backwards technology-wise

Did the doctor explain it was hereditary?
And does the picture of Windsor Castle survive?
I can see someone's gonna have a lot of fun here....
