beauty meets the beast

I know, flowers yesterday, butterflies today...but I couldn't help myself. I was taking a picture of the tiger swallowtail, I heard a plop, and the tiger swallowtail disappeared. I looked around and there it was, just a feast for the beast.

Excellent! I cannot even get a good butterfly shot so far - at least the frog is pinning 'er down for you!

Great capturing both shots! Poor butterfly though :(
I really like the flutter and transparency in the wing of the flying butterfly - perfect balance between motion and detail.

WOW! A somewhat somber depiction of the cycle of life, but still an amazing shot. Very well done!

Great catch. I guess that is 'survival of the fittest' in action.

Interesting experience Steven, and handy to be able to capture, even if it means teh demise of your lovely subject. Natural Imaging for sure. :^)
