The tall ships came to Vancouver and they were a very impressive sight. However I don't know if I'd do it again if the ships ever return to our waters. Tall Ship Island, which was a floating barge at which four of the ships were docked, was only accessible by a ten minute ferry ride. However the wait to get on the ferry was an hour and a half. As luck would have it, the beautiful sunny day turned cool and cloudy and by the time I actually boarded the ferry, it started raining lightly. I spent more time standing in line than I did actually viewing the ships themselves. But they were beautiful, for sure.
On my monitor, at least, most of the shots look a little underexposed. Perhaps on dull grey days like this one it would be better to dial in a little positive exposure compensation. I tweaked the levels in Paint Shop Pro on a couple of the shots, otherwise the only alterations were rotation, resizing, and unsharp mask.
