The trail to the tip of Cape Lookout was my personal favourite hike. When I got to the end, I was surprised to see a lone man lounging on the very spot where I'm sitting in the photo. Surprised, because I wasn't expecting to see anyone, and also because he was on the other side of a rope barrier that was obviously meant to stop people from getting too close to the edge of the cliff (you can't really tell from the photo, but it's a looong way down). We chatted for awhile before he left, and I, not being able to resist a good photo op even if it means flirting with disaster, positioned myself carefully on this perch. What a view.
