Another quick getaway to the West coast of Vancouver Island. It started snowing on the way there and it was strange to see white stuff other than sand on the beaches. The area is pretty deserted at this time of year; you feel at times as if you have the entire place to yourself. I stayed once again at the lovely Sandsend Cottage. While not as luxurious as, say, the Wickaninnish Inn, it is a far better deal, and only a short walk to Chesterman Beach.
