My cousin Emily eloped with her guy Brian in fall 2002, but they didn't have their reception until January 2003. In a way I'm glad I didn't see her get married. The very idea of this once impossibly cute little girl, now grown into a beautiful, intelligent young woman and getting married, would have had me choking back tears for sure!

If I had to do it over again, I would have tried using a slower shutter speed instead of the default 1/60 sec my camera selected to use with a flash. Although I used 400 ISO film, the background turned out really dark in all the photos. Since most of the subjects in the pictures are Chinese, their dark hair merges perfectly with the background. Another "live and learn" experience.
