Hi Steve,
Yes, I believe that the mystery gull in images 6694,6695,6697 is a hybrid between Herring and Glaucous-winged. The images 6321,6323 and 6364 appear to be a first winter American Herring Gull. The Images 6627,6628,6630, and 6631 appear to be a first cycle Thayer's Gull which is rare but not out of the question for Barrow. The last image 6344 is a little dark but it looks like it might be a Slatey-backed Gull based on the smudgyness of the head, and the wide white terminal band to the secondaries. An image of the bill and eye would help with this identification.
Do you have any information about the Palm Warbler? Any images of the bird? Please send information about the Palm Warbler to Ed Clark co-moderator Alaska Rare Bird Listserv akbirder@eagle.ptialaska.net Thanks in advance. Ed

Hi Steve,
To my eye, the top set of pics seem to just be that of Smithsonianus Herring Gull. The center row of pics (except the right-most) seems to be that of a Glaucous-winged x Herring. The lower row (except the last pic) to me seems like a dead-on Thayer's (which I have had at Nome). I don't quite know what that last bird is...
