Royal Gorge Colorado

The Royal Gorge Bridge is the bridge to nowhere other than the other side of the gorge. Built in 1929 with your tax dollars when someone realized that it would be the highest suspension bridge, 1053 feet above the river and that would attract tourists. The views are impressive from either the cable car or the bridge or from the bottom of the incline that goes to the bottom of the gorge.
