Mt Shasta - Burney Falls - Lassen Volcanic National Monument

You don't see Mt Shasta?? Neither did we...just clouds. Burney Falls are beautiful. Water comes from springs half mile above falls. Lassen is interesting with four kinds of volcanoes, hydrothermal features, lakes, scenery. Main hydrothermal area, Bumpass Hell, was still closed due to deep snow.

In reading Linda's account of Burney Falls, I hoped to see photos of them, and of course you didn't disappoint. They make a gorgeous picture, and I'm sure they must be even more spectacular in person. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us! Georgia & Jon

Too bad about not seeing Mt. Shasta. It is pretty impressive ! WE went camping in a tent in that area in 1964 ! The shots of Burney Falls and Lassen Paek are beautiful. WE saw all of them way back in the early-mid 1960s too. NIce memories thanks to your photos. Marty & Phil
