Cripple Creek Area

A trip around Pikes Peak through Woodland Park to Cripple Creek and back to Colorado Springs via Gold Camp Rd an old railroad bed. Along the way we stopped at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument where they have found fossils of over 1700 different species and there are petrified stumps of redwood trees. Also at the monument is the Hornbeck homestead.
