Rainbow Falls was quite a disappointment. While stationed in Hawaii I had travelled to the Big
Island of Hawaii and witnessed the beautiful Rainbow Falls there. That was a relatively high
waterfall over which a large volume of water plummeted to the bottom of a gorge, accompanied by a
huge cloud of mist, in which large rainbows could be seen in the afternoon sun.
I don't even consider this a waterfall. It barely could be acknowledged as a short rapids.
Regardless, the surrounding area is quite pretty. I still can't believe I had to pay money to
park my car to see this. I seriously considered knocking on the ranger's door and demanding a
refund.
I live near Rainbow Falls, WA. You viewed them in the winter when the river is full. Come back in the summer and they are much more impressive. However, there still isn't a large drop. The bigger attraction at this park is the summertime swimming and hiking through the old growth forest nearby. :)

These are waterfalls??? I feel your pain. There's a difference between a "waterfall" and "ripples". Disappointing, to say the least.
