Cassandra, the last of the hatchlings came out to explore the world early this morning.

Went to the ReptiCon show today to see about making a couple purchases for breeding with my
hatchlings and perhaps with each other. I brought home two beautiful babies. These two have
already been sexed by the breeder. One female Ultra Ghost Corn whom I named Aphrodite and one
male Okeetee Hypo I've named Ares.

According to Greek Mythology, Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty and Ares, god of war, were
quite the frolicking couple, much to the dismay of Aphrodite's husband. We'll see how these two
work out in a couple years when they are 'of age'.

For now they are all housed in a 10 gallon aquarium, but I purchased 2.5 quart plastic Sterilite containers for the initial 8 babies to keep them separate. I'll buy a couple more at the dollar store. I'd like to keep them separate at all times, but that creates a problem with heating and lighting. They have to be fed separately and communal living for snakes can be stressful, or so some say. I'm debating with myself just where I'm going to go with this. Eventually, I intend to breed some of them and they will get too big for a 10-gallon tank or even the 2.5 quart containers withing a few months. By then I intend to have a rack system built to house them appropriately.

Man, I love the Ultra Ghost and the Hypo! Beautiful! Where are you gonna keep all these critters?
