This chapel is in Lathom which is the village
next to Burscough. Click on any thumbnail below to get a large version

A study of the Domesday Book will show that the 360 acres of farmland
and 720 acres of woodland, which made up the Manor of Lathom in 1066
almost certainly formed the most important of 17 manors held by an
Anglo-Danish landowner then named Uctred.
The first 7 photos were taken about 8 years ago so I thought I would
do an update. Of course, many of the photos will be the same but I hope
you will agree that the new ones are an improvement.
Dear Gary, I am assisting a gentleman in Kendal, who is writing a book on the history of Wilkinson's Organ builders. As it is a Wilkinson organ in the Chapel, he would love to include your photo of the organ. Does he have your permission to do so? It would add greatly to his book as he has all the details of the organ when it was built. Thanks, Sue Shiels

Dear Sir
Can I visit the chapel this Wednesday when I am in the area? I would be arriving at about 10am. Is it normally open during the day?. Please let me know as soon as you can

Hello there just looking at your lovely photographs of Lathom Chapel. Earlier today a friend and I walked across from the A59 to Lathom Chapel and back again. A beautiful walk across farmland but just a shame the Chapel was locked. Thanks for showing us the inside :-)
