The Dragon Well marks the spot where St George slayed the Dragon.
St George is said to have killed a well-dwelling dragon in the field
adjoining St George's Church Brinsop. A 12th century stone carving in
the church shows St George spearing a worm-type dragon.
The wording on the stone reads: The Dragon Well Restored HM 50th birthday 1986.
