A huge, very impressive and unusual ship. It is an Offshore Construction Jack Up ship.
Apparently it can jack itself up so the whole of the ship is lifted clear of the sea!
It is one of the largest installation ships of its kind in the world and is being used for the transport and installation of wind turbines in Liverpool Bay and the North Wales coast.
I understand that the fuel it uses is not obtainable in the UK and the tanker refuelling the Pacific Osprey had come from Germany!
