Oregon Coast (plus Long Beach and a bit of Portland and Seattle)

The Oregon Coast is a region of the U.S. state of Oregon. The Oregon Coast forms the western border of the state, and stretches approximately 363 miles (584 km) from the Columbia River in the north to the Oregon–California state border in the south.

There are over 80 state parks and recreation areas along the Oregon Coast. Due to its scenery, wildlife, and history, the Oregon Coast is a popular travel destination. Hiking, sport fishing, cycling, kite flying, scuba diving, surfing, sandboarding, and boating are common activities for visitors to the region.

The Oregon Coast is also known for its scenic areas, such as Cape Perpetua, Cape Blanco and Cape Arago. Oregon's beaches are popular destinations for visitors. Horse riding, clam digging, and surfing are popular activities. Another popular destination for visitors is Oregon's historic lighthouses, most of which date to before 1900.
