I need Power !!

We had our first winter storm and we had no power for 16 hours.
Not being able to comment on fellow PBaser's images was the biggest shock to me.
The power finally came back at 1:00 a.m. and after getting everything back in place, I find myself posting and commenting at 2:45 a.m. I still have to wake up to get to work at 5:30 a.m. I guess I will have to leave the commenting for tomorrow. :(

What a cool contrast between the organic and geometric lines. Very creative shot, 16 hours is a long time to go without power! Vote

Wow. You actually turned power lines in to a work of art! This is such a neat shot.

Love your low angle on this shot, and yes, power outages are the pits! Admire your
dedication, Pbase is a way of life!! V :)

Sure do hate it when the power goes off! PBase withdrawals, big time! Glad you're back up and energized, Simon. A great image for the day! A beautiful capture. I can feel the wind! V~

Hi Simon,
Sometimes it's a little scary how much we have to depend on electricity. I love shots of power lines! This is a really unique and interesting shot. I've never seen one like this before. \/

Good topical shot Simon, we were only off power for 3 hours so I guess we were lucky...

Nice compo Simon. Glad your power is back on. We, in Eastern ontario were without power for several weeks during the cold of Winter a number of years ago. Humdreds of towers, like the one in your image, had simply crumbled under the weight of ice.

Great shot, glad to hear the power came back on eventually, I think I would have rather slept than PBased though...

5:30 wakeup and you are still up at 2:45..... are you NUTS! :-)

Excellent contrast between beautiful wild flowers in the foreground and cancer producing power lines in the background. And we are focused on the power lines.....

BIG VOTE!

Excellent foreground bokeh.
Just so you know, there's no rules and no expectations, apart from what you force on yourself ;->

Yes, I too would be in PBase withdrawal! Good shot Simon to represent your story. Get some sleep! V.

Nice shot!
I trust no serious problems developed during the outage.

very interesting perspective and composition, it does remind you of a muscle man. Good eye
