My Macro Setup

Canon 5D + 25II Extension tube + 25II Extension tube + 1.4X II Extender + 2.0X II Extender + 180mm Macro L
Manfrotto Micro Positioning Plate + Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head + Manfrotto 055 Pro Tripod
Magnification = 4X. Total weight 13.5lb. Working distance 24 cm.
Does it work? Not really. Image is quite soft. The set up is too heavy for the Micro Positioning Plate that it wobbles when adjustment is made. I think I need the MP-E lens. :(

Sony DSC-T1
1/40s f/3.5 at 6.7mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Awesome set-up but it's the man behind the camera making those great images, and that's you!! BV! :-)

Very, very close to my own set-up Simon, thnx for sharing. If you're finding the images soft, try removing the 2.0II Extender and add another 25mm of tubes...

Yikes! That's a big toy! I fear I'd be running into glass doors and windows with that one!
Very impressive, indeed!
