Sad

Today is a sad day. I noticed a bird lying on the ground outside our living room window. I suspected it hit the glass of our window. After observing for a while, seeing the bird could not get up, I went out and took this photo. To know more about what happen to the bird, please see this gallery:

That's life, all we can do is hope for the best.

Photography often reflects the happy things in life. Sadness is a reality too however. Nice job of capturing it.

Hi Simon,
This is too sad. Unfortunately it happens a lot. I remember finding dead birds laying on the road as a kid (that got hit by cars of course) and I always took them home and burying them. It made my mother crazy.

Tragic photo, especially with the subject looking up at the lens.

The loss of such a lovely creature is always sad. Interesting that humans mourn the loss of a pretty bird, but then deliberately cause the deaths of countless other creatures, including members of their own species.

Simon...this is so sad. Wildlife has brought me so much great joy in photography and it hurts to see them expired. Thanks for sharing. V.
