La Boca, Buenos Aires

i went on my walk...
One of the symbols of the tango is the street lamp.. “farol”…
silent witness of what it was and what it is…. of forbidden love encounters and fights with dancing knives taking lives and hopes…
but the tango "Farol " said it much better than me…

A suburb with houses
that reflect their tin color...
a human suburb
with legends that are sung like tangos...
a working suburb,
a corner of memories and a lamp post...
Lamp post...
the things that now can be seen
lamp post...
no longer is just like yesterday...

To me, this goes so much deeper into the story than what I first had thought. Your imagery has this stunning formal quality to it, and yet there i such human detail to every aspect of the image. V.

Great light! What really attracts me in this shot is the shadow of the tree on the wall - it adds extra life to the scene.
