Expectation...

I am very curious to know what you think of this image... the wild herd was there, looking at me shooting.. some seconds after this image, they ran away.. ( and I did behind them).

I was much eager to see this image, but then, when it appeared at the screen, there was a nice light and a bucolic green and blue .. it didnt represent that expectation and tension I felt,
that's why this editing, that appeared by chance playing with textures...
and that's why this short speech... feel free please to express what you think.. and thank you in advance..

my first impression was: why this artificial drama in the sky behind the horses... It is so wonderful how they stand, take all the place they want and watching you... it's so strong and pure... they for sure are not disliking what they see... but also not sure if they like... everything can happen... watching longer the image, than I think that just these emotions were brought up, put in the picture because of this dramatic sky... FABULOUS work Silvia ! BV+

I do not have the creativity to work in such way with photos.. In general the effects you apply are enhancing a mood.. a spirit or a movement. Here is especially it enhances a mood. It works great in your gallery.

I love the five horses looking right at you. The flick of the tail by the horse on the end is wonderful. The light on all five horses is beautiful. I don't understand why you felt it needed extra treatment. I think the focus on the five gorgeous animals make a prize winning image by itself. ~V~

In my opinion, the treatment you did with background doesn't help the composition but definitely helps the mood, so the makes the entire image look more interesting. I do like it a lot! BV

hi Silvia I like this photo very much. The background is very dramatic, almost unreal. As if you combined two photos. But nevertheless the result is magnific and your description is very ad rem. I have the feeling that the horses and the sky know what's going to happen in a few moments: the moment that they start to run. My conclusion: it's a beauty to cherish forever. I like this very much, it is an image that comes from a bit of help from heaven. When I look upon this wonderful image it makes me feel like I have entered into a dimension that I have never experienced. What is also wonderful about this Silvia they are looking toward your lens as if instructed by a higher power to cooperate with you. Your light on these horses is perfect as is the light upon the grass beneath the horses. Artistic post processing makes this a book cover image. Nice odd number of 5 also makes it nice. I add this to the top of the list of my favorites in this fine gallery. Vote 10+++ .

Very often, and this is my own experience, the attraction of an image is shown in contemplation afterwards. You follow Your photographical instincts when pressing the button but afterwards You recognize a different value in regarding the results. This is so nowadays and was the same in darkroom days. This is one of Your best shots in this collection. The only thing I do not understand, is the monochrome background, but this is no minus point for this image. v. norbi

I don't know...I think I have to be different. I think if the background had stormy skies I would like it better. The textures kind of take me away from your subject. I know there is a way to add clouds but I'm not that good yet to tell you how. Definitely a good picture to play with.
