Strange Stories

Pulp fiction covers defined the content of the pulp magazines which they embossed. In the silver and golden era, underpaid artists created a new world of imagination with images of lurid drama. Most of the originals were discarded. In time , trading cards, paperbacks and pulps went over to photography. By about 1954, the artwork era was eclipsed. The detective magazines, those that were revealing true tales and not crime fiction, went over somewhat earlier to Ecktachrome photography. And they all had Strange Stories to tell.
