Today I somewhat overstreched myself, attempting a 20km (approx 12.5 miles) strenuous walk with 720 metre ascent was not sensible at my current fitness level! But thanks to the kindness, patience and encouragement from my fellow Ramblers, I slowly but surely completed the walk. Note to self - for goodness sake be sensible, you're old enough to know better!
Walk Description: This is a circular walk starting from Pont Gyhirych and going along the minor road for a while before ascending right to reach our first Trig Point at Fan Bwlch Chwyth. We’ll have views of Cray Reservoir and Pen y Fan as we head for the second Trig on Fan Nedd. A long ascent to the third Trig on Fan Gyhirych rewards us with a beautiful panoramic view of Brecon Beacons. We then descend from this point to the car park.
