Lliw Valley Reservoir walk, Saturday 13th October 2012
Decided my knees were at last strong enough to join the Swansea Ramblers for an easy 4.5 mile walk around Lliw Valley Reservoir.
11am and the sun is shining on the lower Lliw reservoir
Lovely tree shapes on the horizon
Early autumn colours contrast so well with the blue
The Swansea Ramblers head through the woods
Autumn bracken on the hillside
Full stream
Magnificent outcrop
More shades of autumn
Autumn fruits and flowers
Loved the green hummocks!
A good crop of berries
We have reached the Upper Lliw reservoir
It's time for a refreshment stop with a view
Looking back the way we came
Overflow
Whoosh!
Wall reflections
The first big cloud
Upper Lliw reservoir - there were hardy souls diving here!
The labrador is where she likes to be - leading the walk!
Derelict but photogenic farmhouse
Tree fern fossil - now someone did mention the name?
Attractively contained foliage
And down to the river we go
The river Lliw?

It was somewhat wet underfoot in places
Ramblers heading through the woodland path
Gathering moss
High above the river
River monster?
River reflections
Autumn shapes and colours
More autumn colours and reflections
The dry weather is coming to an end
Crossing the lower Lliw reservoir and heading to the cafe :)
