Rêveries à Martigues

"When a small town in Southern France dreams of Venice..."

Martigues is a small flowered town of Provence, by the Mediterranean Sea.
Because of its little bridges, islands and canals Martigues well deserves the name of “Venise provençale” ( Provençal Venice).

From September 12 to September 13 also this year there was in Martigues a wonderfully organized celebration of Venetian carnivals masks, with their gorgeous costumes

Silvano, these are lovely images in gallery. I recognize so many of them. So fun to see them all again. I know it is not Venice, but you did an excellent job in isolating the Masks and finding the best backgrounds possible. Bravo!

ho sempre pensato che il tuo talento fosse riservato esclusivamente alla città di venezia ed al suo carnevale.... Noto con estremo piacere che sei riuscito a scattare splendide foto anche in un lontano paese della Provenza!Donando a questo paesino la stessa magia del Carnevale Veneziano....
