Your beautiful photography stirred in me a strong desire to go to Carnevale and shoot these amazing costumed participants two years ago while I was studying abroad in Rome. I just now thought to check in on your 2009 photos to see if we ended up photographing any of the same people, and I might have found a match! I think I photographed Solange, as well. Your photos continue to put mine to shame, but I am just an amateur without a DSLR for now. :) Because you are the expert, I wanted to ask how you achieve such intimate photos. As I was essentially a tourist, I had crowds in the background of nearly all of my photos, and I did not learn each costumed person's name.
