An oak leaf falls from the tree to the snow and rests there, shifting back and forth in the breeze. There's not another oak leaf in sight. Alone!
I felt proud of this picture. I thought the balance of leaf, shadow details and the simple and pure background was almost perfect. On the other hand, since I have no formal training, I was a bit insecure in my composition skill. But, I decided to stand pat on my picture.
It was not a contrived picture. I did not place the leaf in the snow in my driveway. There truly were no oakleaves or leaves of any sort in sight.
