When I'm out shooting, I'll look for vantage points that aren't typical. I took this shot last spring, hoping to find a pattern of dewdrops (I like simple repeating patterns) but as I looked at this drop, I noticed that my Mom's house was contained inside. This shot was a challenge as the ground was wet with dew, and this grass was very short making it difficult to look through the viewfinder. None of the other drops in the area would work; either the sun was in the way, or the house wasn't in the drop. Getting the focus right was also a challenge, because of the small scales involved. I also like the way the grasses appear to lean against each other evoking a sense of family and home.
