Of all the images I've captured this year, I find this to be my finest. Not because of perfect exposure (it wasn't) or because it is framed and focused perfectly (it's not). I do feel it does personify the fleeting innocence & wonder of adolescent youth.
The picture was made under extreme sun backlighting & was not a posed composition. It was captured by use of the EF500 Super SA-N flash with a Sto-fen Omni bounce diffuser. The Camera & Flash were set to program mode and the electronics did the rest for me. Moments in time like this do not happen often and the Sigma SD10 w/flash captured it in perpetuity.
