This is an old grist mill on the North Branch of the Raritan River in Clinton, New Jersey. Used during the 18th and early 19th centuries, this humble building can be considered a precursor to the massive oil refineries which dominate the state's northern coastline. Now if Detroit can only put out a gasohol-powered car...hmmm???
